Battery Operated Drum Lifter And Tiller (also called a battery-assisted hydraulic drum lifter and tilter) is an industrial material handling machine designed to lift, move, tilt, and position 200 L / 55-gallon drums with minimal manual effort. It integrates a battery-powered hydraulic lift system with a sturdy chassis and easy-to-use tiller/controls so operators can raise heavy drums vertically off the floor or pallet, transport them, and tilt them up to 180° or more for controlled pouring or emptying. The unit’s hydraulic system is powered by a rechargeable battery, eliminating the need for constant manual pumping and reducing operator fatigue, especially in high-volume environments. Typical models are built from heavy-duty steel with a powder-coated finish for corrosion resistance and include secure drum clamps or grippers, rugged PU/nylon wheels with brakes, and user-friendly controls for lift, lower and tilt functions. Load capacities generally range from about 300 kg up to 500 kg or more, with lift heights often around 1500 mm or customizable for specific applications. These lifters are widely used in warehouses, factories, chemical plants, food processing units and logistics centers, improving safety, efficiency, and ergonomic handling of heavy drums without excessive physical strain.
